About Nikki

Hello! My name is Nicole “Nikki” Gladfelter. I live in Oak Park, Illinois, with my husband and our three children, who range in age from toddler to elementary school.

My passion for caring for children began as a teenager when I started babysitting, and it has remained a constant throughout my life. I spent 13 years working in pediatric nursing, where I had the privilege of supporting children and their families through a variety of healthcare experiences.

After stepping away from nursing to focus on raising my own family, I continued pursuing my passion for caregiver education by becoming a Certified Lactation Counselor and Child Passenger Safety Technician. Through both my professional experience and my journey as a parent, I understand the challenges, questions, and decisions that caregivers face every day.

I founded Confident Care to combine my clinical expertise, specialized training, and love of teaching. My goal is to provide personalized education and support that helps families feel informed, empowered, and confident as they care for the children they love.
